Christi Halisky

Christi Halisky’s photographs show the beauty that is all around us. In her jewelry, she uses both old and new components (ie. old gears, etc) and techniques to create beautiful yet unique jewelry in combinations of metals and materials.

In 2002, Christi graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Millersville University where she studied metal arts and photography.  From there she took a job as a goldsmith in a small family run jewelry store in Pennsylvania and continued there for 11 years, learning many techniques and styles of jewelry making using old world practices as well as new.

As she progressed in her jewelry making and metal work, Christi also took classes and graduated from New York Institute of Photography in 2010.  During this time and afterward, she was taking portraits of families, weddings, children, and pets as a hobby.

In April of 2013, Christi and her husband moved to Arizona where she has started her own business “Silver Jewel Studios”,  taking landscape photographs, portraits and making jewelry of her own designs as well as helping others with their jewelry needs.

For the last 4 years, she has worked with a multitude of artists but the most influential being Neil R Hunt.  Working with Neil, learning how to design and hand engrave metals, she has started exploring a passion long in the making.
