PR: Awards and Prizes Mount for the Mingus Mountain Student Art Show

This year, Made In Clarkdale is pleased to announce the awards,  cash prizes and scholarships that will be given at the 2016 Mingus Mountain Student Juried Art Show.

MAIN SHOW Awards:

Show Awards:   Ribbons 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and Honorable Mention: Category award winners in each category listed for each division – 9/10 grade combined and 11/12 grade combined. Determined by host organization judges.

Best of Show: $150 cash award for the “best artwork in any division, in any category overall.” Determined by judges, and awarded by Made In Clarkdale.

Elle Valle Artists Association (EVAA): A $100 cash award for Outstanding Art Best Depicting the Verde Valley; judged and awarded by EVAA.

Northern Arizona Watercolor Society (NAWS): Outstanding entry’s in watercolor at each grade level; judged and awarded by NAWS:

  • $ 50  – Freshman/9th grade
  • $100 – Sophomore/10th grade
  • $ 150 – Junior/11th grade
  • $ 250 – Senior/12th grade

Sedona Art Center Ceramics Award: A $150 cash award for outstanding entry in Utilitarian Art/ Functional Ceramics; judged and awarded by SAC.

Sedona Camera Club: A $100 award for Outstanding entry in Photography (traditional, digital or enhanced digital)

Participation Certificates: Each student entering the show will receive a certificate of participation.

SCHOLARSHIP Awards: 

The Ellie Bauer Scholarship for Visual Arts Studies: A $500 scholarship for a graduating senior pursuing a career in visual arts; judged and awarded by Made In Clarkdale.

Northern Arizona Watercolor Society (NAWS): A $500 scholarship for a graduating senior pursuing the visual arts; judged and awarded by NAWS.
